Cooperations The Lab promotes press freedom

The Mindful Media Lab sees itself as an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary platform that brings together research, teaching and knowledge transfer. Its aim is to support media professionals and media organisations in their work, to strengthen their resilience and, in doing so, to safeguard the democratic role of journalism in the long term.

Practice Partner

Media companies, editorial teams and journalists provide insights into the day-to-day reality of the workplace. They highlight the circumstances under which stress arises, how transformation processes are experienced, and what kind of support is actually helpful in practice.

Education Partner

Journalism schools, universities and further education institutions help to integrate resilience, reflective thinking and a structural understanding of stress into training programmes at an early stage. This enables skills to be strengthened before stress becomes entrenched.

Associations and Networks

Professional associations and journalistic networks provide access to the full scope of the field. They help to bring together experiences from different working contexts, highlight needs and disseminate insights beyond individual organisations.

Funding and Transfer Partner

Foundations and public bodies support the Lab in translating its findings into effective formats and making them permanently accessible. They help to ensure its reach, relevance and sustainable development.

Expert Board

Partners from the fields of psychology, medicine, law, sociology and related disciplines broaden the lab’s perspective. They contribute knowledge that is essential for understanding the nature of stress and developing effective support services.

Research Partner

Academic partners help to systematically investigate stressors and their consequences and to analyse them from a theoretical perspective. They strengthen the Lab’s empirical foundation. At the same time, the Lab makes academic findings accessible to practitioners.
